Job summary

MFA Oil Company seeks a Fuel & Propane Driver to deliver refined fuel products and propane within a defined local territory, ensuring safe operations and accurate deliveries using handheld devices. The role includes tank work, vehicle maintenance, and routine safety inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials.
• Ability and willingness to become propane CETP certified as determined by the state(s) served.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to obtain a Class A or Class B CDL with tanker, HAZMAT, and air brake endorsements within 90 days of employment, and maintain DOT requirements.
• Ability to pass in-person training and MFA Oil Company Road Test within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles in varied weather/road conditions.
• Ability to move equipment and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to stand for up to nine hours per shift and lift 25 pounds to load into trucks.
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders to deliver fuel.
• Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials.
• Vision, hearing, speech, and the ability to detect odors.
• Ability to communicate accurately with MFA Oil customers in English.
• Ability to operate computers/handheld delivery tracking devices.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Availability for rotating on-call schedules, holidays, weekends, and after hours.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• 21 years or older
• Ability to meet pre-employment drug screen, MVR, criminal background check, and road test

Responsibilities

• Deliver refined fuel products and propane to customers on defined routes.
• Maintain terminal access to load fuel/propane where applicable.
• Safely operate vehicle according to MFA Oil policies and DOT rules.
• Use handheld systems to ensure accurate deliveries.
• Connect fuel hoses at customer sites and stow hoses properly.
• Identify and report safety, efficiency, training, or customer concerns.
• Inspect customer installations for safe operations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Present MFA Oil Company positively and know product/service offerings.
• Communicate company policies and procedures to customers as needed.
• Maintain required certifications and keep truck clean.
• Perform service work (tank set, tank painting, plant maintenance) as directed.
• Adhere to all policies and perform other duties as assigned by management
