US Foods in Spokane is hiring a Non-CDL Driver I to deliver foodservice products to customers with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy. The role involves loading/unloading, operating a hand scanner, and following DOT regulations.

No CDL required; must be 21+, have a valid license, and pass DOT medical exam. The job requires physical effort, weekend availability, and ability to navigate the local area.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with proper endorsements if required.
• Must pass DOT medical examination (DOT physical).
• No more than two traffic convictions in past two years; no DUI in past three years.
• No license suspensions in past three years.
• No prior commercial driver’s license required.
• One year of multi-stop delivery experience preferred, or six months local delivery or foodservice experience.
• Ability to read/write in English and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of area/map reading abilities.
• Safe lifting/loading techniques and use of hand truck.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries.
• Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles.
• Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location including going up and down stairs with product as necessary.
• Accurately record delivery information including operating a hand scanner and all company required documentation.
• Collect payments if necessary.
• Monitor refrigeration system on the delivery vehicle for safety; follow all safe food handling procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections such as monitoring fluid levels, tires, windshield wash and replenishing fuel.
• Other duties as assigned.
