Job summary

United Treating & Distribution, LLC in Muscle Shoals, AL seeks a professional CDL-A truck driver for local flatbed routing. Home daily with daytime shifts, delivering lumber and building products to customers and suppliers while maintaining DOT compliance and safety standards.

The role requires 2+ years of Class A experience, clean driving record, and ability to plan routes, tarp loads, and communicate effectively with customers and team members. Training available for flatbed if needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Must have 2 or more years of experience as a Class A CDL truck driver.
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner at all times.
• Knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Ability to plan routes to ensure the best use of time and make overnight runs as required by shipping needs.
• Flatbed experience preferred (training is available)
• Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks rented and leased by the company to haul lumber and building products to our customers and suppliers.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
• Perform all duties in conformance with DOT standards.
• Maintain all certifications required by DOT.
• Keep all company property entrusted to you in clean and excellent condition.
• Operate a CMV on the road daily and be home daily (starting and ending each day in Muscle Shoals, Al.)
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve overall team operations.
