Job summary

The Suddath Companies is seeking a Local Driver to safely operate assigned vehicles in Seattle, WA, and support crew leaders as needed.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, maintaining logs, and coordinating with Dispatch to meet delivery timelines. A valid CDL, 1–2 years moving experience, and basic software skills are required. This is a full-time onsite position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience preferred.
• Must have valid CDL driver’s license.
• Ability to read safety rules and operate equipment.
• Strong math and reporting skills; able to document activities.
• Proficient with basic office software and HRIS among systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre-trip vehicle inspections with documentation.
• Adhere to safety policies; operate vehicles in accordance with laws.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and coordinate with Dispatch.
• Load, secure, and unload items; assist with assembly as needed.
• Lead and communicate with crew; ensure equipment is ready.
• Complete End-Of-Day checklists and job paperwork.
