Job summary

Johnsonville is seeking drivers to transport products nationwide from our Sheboygan Falls campus. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and professional representation of the Johnsonville brand.

Pay rate is $28.43/hr with a 5:00am–7:00pm schedule, Monday–Friday, and overtime as needed. Benefits include 401k with company match and comprehensive health coverage; 4,000+ Members strong family culture across the United States.

Qualifications

• Acceptable driving record meeting company and DOT requirements
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Must be at least 21 years old
• 100,000 miles of driving experience or completion of a certified truck driving school
• 2 years of recent tractor trailer experience preferred
• Experience in refrigerated food industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle local pick-ups, deliveries and redeliveries within a 250-mile radius from Johnsonville campus
• Maintain a safety-first mindset and provide excellent customer service
• Present a clean, professional image as a Johnsonville representative
• Drive 2021 or newer tractors and late-model trailers
• Complete vehicle safety inspections and E-DVIR; ensure FMCSA compliance
• Maintain pre-scheduled appointments, obtain signatures on bills of lading, and communicate delays to dispatch

Job description

This really is where the “rubber meets the road!” Physically transporting Johnsonville’s delicious products throughout the country requires safe, dedicated drivers who are willing to go the extra mile (sometimes literally!) to delight our customers. As a member of our trucking team, you’ll carefully comply with all state and federal laws and regulations as you deliver products for customers, always with a safety-first mindset. You’ll also provide exceptional customer service as a representative of our company. To many people, the person behind the wheel, who shows up at the loading dock with a shipment of our products, IS Johnsonville.

Position Overview

Pay Rate: $28.43/hr

Hours: 5:00am – 7:00pm, Monday-Friday (Overtime as demands).

Responsibilities

• Handle local pick-ups, deliveries, and redeliveries. Some intra-state activity with a maximum radius of 250 miles from Johnsonville campus.
• Safety first mindset

• Portray a clean and professional image as a representative of Johnsonville
• Drive 2021 or newer tractors and late model Great Dane refer trailers
• Complete thorough vehicle safety inspections
• Complete E-DVIR for mechanical conditions in need of repair
• Legally operate in compliance of the FMCSA regulations
• Maintain pre-scheduled appointments, obtain necessary signatures on bills of lading and communicate any delays to dispatch

Experience

• Acceptable driving record that meets company and DOT requirements
