Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking motivated individuals for local pickup and delivery. You will drive, load and unload safely, and interact with donors and customers to ensure timely service. This role supports our Adult Rehabilitation Program by upholding safety and respectful service.

Applicants should have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and strong time management and communication skills. Training will cover safety procedures and proper handling of donations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily routing directions and adhere to approved work schedule.
• Complete routes 100% within the day, unless approved otherwise.
• Safely load and unload assigned truck; assist with other trucks as needed.
• Handle donations safely to prevent damage; adhere to handling procedures.
• Train and supervise truck helper within rehabilitation program.
• Perform pre- and post-checks; report any issues to supervisor.
• Provide courteous customer service and report donor problems to dispatch.
