Harrell’s LLC in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking a Local Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker for a full-time, day-shift role (Mon-Fri, no weekends). Responsibilities include loading/unloading trucks, inventory placement, and preparing shipments with attention to safety and proper documentation.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED and 1–2 years of warehouse experience; forklift certification is preferred. Vehicle operation and forklift use, and lifting up to 60 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years warehouse experience. Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks.
• Place and rotate items in inventory.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks.
• Receive, unpack, store, and stage inventory and materials.
• Prepare orders and pack for shipping.
• Ensure safety and security standards and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain documentation for inventory transactions (shipments, transfers, receipts, cost changes).
• Operate forklift and drive company vehicle as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Places and rotates items in inventory.
• Participates in site inventory every other month.
• Receives, unpacks, checks and stores inventory and materials.
• Fills requisitions and orders.
• Packs and prepares products and materials for shipping.
• Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local ordinances affecting this position.
• Ensure compliance with all Company policies and programs.
• Maintain valid driver’s license and forklift certification to perform responsibilities.
• Ensure timely processing of system information and proper documentation concerning inventory transactions (shipments, transfers, receipts, changes in cost/price, etc.).
• Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, woods, and plastic.
• Assist Warehouse Manager and/or Dispatch Manager with special projects as needed.
• Make local deliveries using company pick-up truck when required.

EDUCATION:

• Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• One to two years previous warehouse experience.
• Prefer prior forklift certification and/or one to two years of forklift experience.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and driving a forklift - must be able to climb, sit, hear (other forklift in motion), grasp, and steer a vehicle in motion.
• Far and near visual acuity – must be able to see to drive forklift.
• Load and unload trucks – must be able to lift minimum of 60 pounds regularly in order to load and unload products.
• Mobility inside the warehouse – must be able to stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach, bend, pull, and grasp.
• Communication – must be able to talk, hear, see, and comprehend

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be self-motivated and can work independently.
• Ability to follow directions and strong willingness to learn.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Work is routinely performed in a general warehouse environment on a concrete surface, with frequent exposure to both internal and external environment.
• Frequent exposure to severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
• Frequent exposure to dust, and noise levels that exceed a normal threshold.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

• Must wear steel-toed boots.
• Recommended (area specific): Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, back brace, and safety suit. Will be provided by Harrell’s upon request.
• Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in accordance with SDS recommendations.
