Job Description

Stevens Equipment Supply, a member of Daikin Industries, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Local Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate position at our St. George, UT branch. The Local Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will load, unload, and transfer products as needed using various equipment and forklifts within the branch, trucks/trailers, and sites. Additionally, the Driver will assist with warehouse and front counter duties, requiring high-quality customer service skills.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and deliver products to customer sites within designated time frames safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain logs and reports to ensure compliance with DOT and company policies.
  • Secure cargo properly during loading.
  • Ensure compliance with driving laws and regulations.
  • Operate forklifts safely to transfer, load, and unload products.
  • Perform vehicle and forklift pre- and post-checks.
  • Assist with warehouse duties and ensure accurate loading/transferring of products.
  • Report accidents, damages, violations, and concerns immediately.
  • Follow safety and housekeeping practices.
  • Support warehouse and front counter operations as needed.
  • Perform additional duties to support business needs.
Qualifications
  • Safe driving skills with proven ability to operate flatbed or box trucks.
  • Must meet and pass DOT standards.
  • Ability to pass forklift and delivery truck tests within 30 days of start.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely.
  • Attention to detail and surroundings.
  • Follow policies and practices for operations.
  • Good judgment, work ethic, and integrity.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and good communicator.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and assist in various roles.
Experience & Education
  • At least 2 years of driving a commercial vehicle.
  • Valid driver’s license with an excellent record.
  • Warehouse/logistics experience is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Training in forklift and truck operation preferred.
Physical & Work Environment
  • Must perform essential responsibilities with or without accommodations.
  • Annual DOT screening required.
