Job summary

Estes Design and Manufacturing in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dependable local delivery truck driver with excellent customer service. You will drive the company box truck to vendor locations and customers, deliver in-process parts and finished goods, and maintain safety on city streets.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, proven truck driving experience, and a clean CDL is preferred with Indiana For-Hire Endorsement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven work experience as a truck driver.
• Current CDL preferred; Indiana For-Hire Endorsement is a minimum qualification.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport sheet metal products to and from specified locations around the Indianapolis area
• Efficiently plan routes to help meet delivery schedules
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Secure product and properly arrange and balance it within the truck to prevent damage
• Assist in the loading and unloading of goods, using hand trucks and forklifts as required
• Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries with clients
• Interact with customers and vendors in a professional manner and maintain a positive attitude
• Refuel and clean box truck as needed
• Obey and follow applicable traffic laws making safety a priority at all times
• Notifying management of any accidents, parking tickets, vehicle damage, and major maintenance issues
