Position fills in for delivery drivers who are unavailable for their shifts (due to vacation, illness, etc.). Routes for relief drivers typically change daily. The role involves delivering products to stores on established or contingency routes or via dynamic dispatch, including convenience stores, gas stations, small supermarkets, and drug stores, under various weather conditions. Responsibilities include driving, unloading, stocking store shelves, building displays, setting up promotional materials, generating invoices, and daily settlement of cash and charges. The position requires frequent interaction with store management and involves physical labor such as lifting, loading, and pushing/pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds, along with reaching, squatting, and bending during deliveries and merchandising.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Deliver products and execute all promotions
2. Service all scheduled customers by the end of shift
3. Merchandise all accounts to local standards
4. Follow DOT regulations
5. Establish positive working relationships with primary contacts at each account
6. Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 21 years or older
2. Valid U.S. CDL or valid CDL permit with non-excepted interstate status (if applicable)
3. Pass the required drug test and physical capabilities test (if applicable)
4. Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

1. Operating trucks requiring a valid U.S. CDL license
2. Merchandising products such as filling shelves, building displays, and rotating stock
3. Operating equipment like pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.
