Job summary

NorthEast Electrical in Portland, ME, is seeking a Full-time Local Route Driver starting early shift. The role involves loading/unloading, local deliveries, and data entry, with a 4am start and pay of $24/hr. Join a growing team offering benefits and opportunities within the Sonepar family.

Ideal candidates will hold a valid license with a clean MVR for three years, be dependable, and ready to contribute to safe, accurate deliveries and positive customer service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate forklift safely.
• Experience with local route deliveries and basic paperwork.
• Positive attitude and dependable team player.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks using forklift or pallet jack.
• Make local deliveries in company truck as needed.
• Count, check, prepare, and record items being received or shipped.
• Assemble, package, label, and route material for delivery or storage.
• Complete paperwork and data input per procedures.
• Maintain inventory through cycle counts and stock checks.
• Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Be helpful and cooperative with customers and coworkers.
• Learn Eclipse software support system.

Hours: Monday-Friday 4am Start

Rate: $24/hr

What a typical day looks like in this role:

• Loading and unloading trucks, moving material in a safe manner using forklift, pallet jack, handcart, or other device.
• Make local deliveries in company truck as needed.
• Count, check, prepare, and record items being received or shipped.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize, and route material for safe delivery or storage.
• Complete paperwork, documentation, and data input in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain inventory through cycle counts and stock checks
• Performs maintenance and housekeeping duties.
• Act in a helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and coworkers.
• Must acquire a working knowledge of the Eclipse software support system.
• Must be dependable, and positive attitude
