Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Delivery Driver who will have face-to-face contact with customers while delivering orders and providing dependable, on‑time service.

You will drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse, maintain positive customer relations, and promote Graybar services and products on the route. The role typically runs Monday–Friday during daytime hours, with home each night, a CDL Class B is required, and a pre‑employment DOT medical exam must be passed.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills
• Ability to perform the physical requirements necessary to work in a warehouse environment; must pass pre-employment physical testing
• Safely operate warehouse equipment and proper use of PPE
• 1+ years experience required driving a truck or trailer over 33,000 GVW or trucks with self-unloading capabilities
• Must have a valid driver's license issued by his/her state of residence appropriate for type of vehicle
• Must be able to pass DOT medical exam and Commercial Motor Vehicle Certification

Responsibilities

• Help determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations
• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service
• Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
• Inspect vehicle and supplies
• Safely operate vehicle at all times
• Maintain proper truck logs
• Work a local route – no overnights or weekends away
• Never text and drive
