Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Abilene, TX is seeking a delivery driver who will make 10-12 stops per day, handle freight, complete paperwork, and provide outstanding customer service.

You will count and record deliveries, file DOT hazmat papers, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and monitor vehicle maintenance. A valid CDL with hazmat endorsement is required or obtained within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Hazmat endorsement either on your CDL or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the last 2 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers with 10–12 stops per day, handling freight and paperwork.
• Accurately count and record quantities and styles of delivered/picked up products.
• Complete hazardous material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and identify maintenance needs.

• You will deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
• Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
• You are expected to complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance

What makes you great

• You have a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English
• You will have two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A or B CDL
• This role requires you to be 21 years or older
• You currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
• You are expected to not have any preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• You have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required
