Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is hiring a full-time delivery driver in Lancaster, TX. You will make 10–12 customer stops daily, handle freight and paperwork, and ensure DOT-compliant hazmat shipments.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections and support vehicle maintenance needs. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years driving experience or Truck Driving School certification, and a valid CDL with hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with strong reading/writing in English.
• Two years of consecutive driving experience or Truck Driving School certification, with valid CDL.
• Must be 21 or older; hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• No major accidents, suspensions, or moving violations in past 2 years; no recent alcohol convictions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers, averaging 10–12 stops per day; handle freight and paperwork.
• Count and record quantities and styles of delivered/picked up products.
• Prepare hazardous material shipping papers per DOT regulations and complete pre/post-trip inspections.
• Identify maintenance needs and coordinate repairs or maintenance as needed.
• Build relationships with internal and external customers to meet business goals.
• Grow knowledge of Linde operations to support company growth.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
• Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
• You are expected to complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
• You will build both relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
• You will continuously build your knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing

What makes you great

• You have a high school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English
• You will have two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A or B CDL
• This role requires you to be 21 years or older
• You currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
• You are expected to not have any preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two (2) years
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years
• You must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
• You have the ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required
