Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Local Delivery Driver position at our Port Richey, FL branch. The Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will load, unload, and transfer products using various equipment and forklifts within the branch, trucks/trailers, and sites. Effective customer service skills are required, along with assisting in warehouse and front counter duties as needed.

Responsibilities May Include

• Loading, unloading, and delivering products within designated time frames using optimal routes.
• Maintaining logs and reports to comply with DOT and company safety standards.
• Properly securing cargo during loading and transportation.
• Ensuring compliance with driving laws and regulations.
• Operating forklifts safely for transferring and loading products.
• Conducting vehicle and forklift pre- and post-checks.
• Performing warehouse duties and ensuring accurate product handling.
• Reporting accidents, damages, or violations immediately.
• Adhering to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Supporting warehouse or front desk operations as backup.
• Completing additional projects as needed.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven safe driving skills for flatbed or box trucks.
• Must pass DOT standards and forklift training within 30 days.
• Ability to operate forklifts and trucks safely and efficiently.
• Attention to detail, good judgment, and strong work ethics.
• Dependability and teamwork skills.
• Effective communication and basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and work flexible hours.

Experience

• At least 2 years of commercial driving experience with a clean record.
• Warehouse/logistics experience is a plus.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; forklift and truck operation training preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Annual DOT screening required.
