Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc., is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Local Delivery Driver position at our North Port, FL branch. The Driver is responsible for the safe operation of company trucks for timely delivery of products to customer and company locations. The driver will safely load, unload, and transfer products as needed using various equipment and forklifts within the branch, trucks/trailers, and sites. High-quality customer service skills are required, along with assisting with warehouse and front counter duties as needed.

Responsibilities include:

• Loading, unloading, and delivering products within designated timeframes using the most efficient routes.
• Maintaining logs and reports to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Properly loading, blocking, bracing, and securing cargo.
• Ensuring compliance with driving laws and regulations.
• Operating forklifts safely and efficiently for transferring, loading, and unloading products.
• Performing pre- and post-checks on vehicles and forklifts.
• Supporting warehouse operations and front counter duties as needed.
• Reporting accidents, damages, violations, or concerns immediately.
• Following safety and housekeeping practices.
• Supporting additional projects to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of driving a commercial vehicle with a clean driving record.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Experience with warehouse/logistics is a plus.
• Ability to pass DOT standards and forklift training within 30 days.
• High attention to detail, good judgment, integrity, and dependability.
• Effective communication skills and basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.
• Annual DOT screening.
