Job summary

RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a local contract in Buckeye, Arizona. The role supports students with speech and language impairments within the school district.

The position is a 4-day school week with 40 hours per week, onsite, starting 09/28/2026, for 13 weeks. Hourly rate ranges from $55.00 to $57.00, subject to change.

Qualifications

• Ability to work collaboratively within a student-centered educational environment.
• Strong communication, assessment, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of IEP development and school-based therapy services.
• Ability to manage caseloads and support diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Observe, describe, and refer students with suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
• Conduct screening, assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, and language impairments; report results to parents and teachers.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students eligible for speech and language services.
• Refer individuals to community agencies and specialists as needed.
• Provide individualized therapy programs to meet student needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement therapy in daily activities.
• Provide information and support to families.
• Provide in-service education and act as a consultant to staff on speech services.
• Maintain thorough ongoing records for students receiving therapy.
• Participate in professional growth activities and stay updated on field developments.
• Maintain good rapport with students, staff, and community members.
• Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB GOAL
To provide direct or consultative services to students with identified disabilities related to speech and/or language in order to derive full benefit from the district's educational programs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Arizona Standard Speech-Language Certification
• MA in Speech/Language Pathology
• Certification of Clinical Competence
• Arizona Department of Health Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card

Responsibilities & Duties

• Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring students with suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
• Conducts a thorough screening, assessment and diagnosis of speech, voice, and language impairments; interprets results to parents and teachers and writes appropriate recommendations and reports.
• Develops, implements, and monitors IEPs for students eligible for speech and language services.
• Assists in proper referrals of individuals to agencies and specialists in the community, as
• Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual student's needs and correct existing speech and/or language dysfunction.
• Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by suggestions for the student's daily activities.
• Provides information and support to parents and families when appropriate.
• Provides in-service education and serves as a consultant to teachers and school staff members on topics concerning speech services.
• Keeps thorough ongoing records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school provided speech services.
