Medlivo in Florida seeks a Physician Assistant – Neurosurgery for a local contract in New Port Richey. The role covers adult neurosurgical patients in a hospital setting, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour shifts, including days and nights as scheduled.

Join an established team of 4 neurosurgeons and 4 APPs at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital, start ASAP, ongoing 13-week duration. Includes inpatient rounding, overnight consultations, and call coverage; Florida license and board certification

Qualifications

• Active Florida PA license or IMLC eligibility as applicable.
• Current board certification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Neurosurgery APP.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges available).
• Neurosurgery fellowship preferred.
• Local candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgical coverage for adult patients.
• Perform inpatient rounding and support outpatient services as needed.
• Handle overnight neurosurgery consultations and call coverage.
• Respond to calls within 15 minutes.
• Collaborate with neurosurgeons and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Manage approximately 10 patients per shift.
