CompHealth APP is seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in neurosurgery for a locum tenens assignment in Clearwater, FL. The position offers 13 weeks of work with a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:30am–5pm, and a mix of inpatient/outpatient duties.

Responsibilities include first assist and imaging interpretation with a well-established neurosurgery practice of four surgeons. Housing, travel, licensing, and malpractice costs are provided by CompHealth APP.

Qualifications

• Brain and spine experience desired.
• First assist capability desired.
• Ability to read basic imaging desired.
• 50% inpatient rounding and OR, 50% outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgery care for adult patients.
• Assist in operative procedures as needed.
• Support inpatient rounding and outpatient clinics.
• Coordinate patient care with the neurosurgery team.

• Duration: 13 weeks

• Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm with ongoing assignment length
• 15 - 35 patients per shift with adult patients only
• Well-established neurosurgery practice with 4 neurosurgeons
• 50% inpatient rounding and OR, 50% outpatient clinic
• Call frequency 5 - 7 days per month with 30 minute response time
• Brain and spine experience desired
• First assist capability desired
• Ability to read basic imaging desired
