Shift: 8-hour Day Shift (40 hours)

Shift: Variable Start Times 0530-0700

On Call, Call Back Requirements: • Scheduling: • Variable start times for Day shift (Anywhere between 5:30am-7am) • Weekend rotation: N/A • Can we approve time off? Check with hiring supervisor • On Call • 30 min response time • General / Neuro / Ortho (8 Week call schedule) AMs - EOS Call: 8-10 slots (EOS: End of Shift) - 2230-0700: 1-2 slots - 1-2 Weekends

• Experience: 2 years
  • First-time traveler: Further approval/evaluation from hiring supervisor; Would not recommend for first-time travelers

Patient Types:

Neuro/ENT, Orthopedic, General: Breasts/Plastics, Vascular, Laparoscopic, General Oncology, Genitourinary (GU), Gynecology (GYN), Robots (Do not train Agency unless a strong background and here for more than 1 contract)

Patient Ratios: 1:1

Required Certifications:

• RN: BLS

Neuro/ENT: Medtronic Navigation (Cranial & Spine); Medtronic Stealth (ENT); Stryker & Synaptive Navigation (Cranial)

• ENT: Neck dissections with flaps, Sinus Surgery (Stealth Navigation), Basic (Tonsil), Tympanoplasty, Cochlear (not a deal breaker)
• Neuro: Spine Surgeries (Laminectomies, ALIFs, Fusions and discectomies), Craniotomies (Tumors, AVMs/Aneurysms, VP shunts, subdural EVD)

Support on the Unit: Charge Nurse, Leads, Supervisors

Charting System/Equipment: EPIC, Alaris, Pyxis

Floating: Cross trained to all Main OR specialties and Urology center but no floating to other hospitals.

Orientation: 1-1 ½ weeks depending on Team and shift (Subject to change based on unit needs)

Other notes or things you want us to check/verify? Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs provided by hospital; Scrub caps allowed but needs to be covered by a surgical bouffant

Parking: Free Parking; Days—Detached lot, 2 blocks away; PMs—Lot attached to hospital
