Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips independently
• Pass telemetry test on Day 1

Preferred Skills

• Experience with radial artery sticks, CRRT, blood draws
• Proficient IV insertion skills
• CCRN certification preferred

Unit Details

• 10-bed MICU
• Average nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Common cases: respiratory failure, sepsis, ETOH withdrawal, renal disease, GI bleeds, respiratory and cardiac arrest
