WCS Healthcare is actively seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse for a contract assignment at a distinguished hospital in Perth Amboy, NJ.

Job Function:

• Night Shift.
• 7pm - 7:30am.

• Categorizes patients into the appropriate classification level.

• Applies and interprets external fetal monitoring, assessing fetal heart tracings and uterine activity.

• Implements interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal status during labor.

• Identifies emergency situations and promptly notifies the provider as necessary.

• Administers medications in accordance with the five rights of safety and infection control protocols.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

• Current RN license for the state of New Jersey.

• 2 years of acute care experience in this specialty.

• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association.

• Fetal Monitoring Certificate preferred.
