Essential Functions of the Role

1. Quality Assurance: Performs high-quality nuclear medicine, PET, and theranostic procedures (planar, SPECT, and SPECT/CT) according to exam protocol, evaluates the quality of imaging procedures, maintains equipment, and collaborates with engineers and physicists.
2. Caring Practices: Communicates effectively with patients and their families, ensuring understanding and comfort, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
3. Patient Safety: Explains procedures thoroughly, adheres to safety and infection-control protocols, prepares patients and equipment, and maintains sterile techniques when necessary.

• Ability to observe and communicate changes in patient conditions, administer first aid, and work effectively under stress.
• Maintains current knowledge and skills for all patient age groups.
• Provides timely, accurate, and cost-efficient services in compliance with standards.
• Performs tasks independently, maintains professionalism, and ensures patient satisfaction.
• Acts as a trainer for new team members and students.
• Adheres to policies and workflows including PACS, EMR, and other systems.
• Possesses general computer skills and is willing to take call if required.

Certification/License/Registration

ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT-N) or Cert Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT) certification from recognized bodies.
