Job summary

Maximum Healthcare Solutions is seeking a local contract nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a Columbus, Ohio assignment. This 16-week, 40-hour per week position offers evenings shifts, with a local contract in a hospital setting.

Start date 10/19/2026. RN with minimum 2 years of experience, BCLS, EPIC experience preferred, willing to float within units. Travel not required; patient care includes telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and post-chemotherapy support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 Years RN experience required.
• Certs: BCLS.
• Ratio: 1:4.
• Must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.
• EPIC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to Med Surg/Telemetry patients with cardiac monitoring.
• Administer IV therapies and blood products per protocol.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines and PICC lines as needed.
• Support patients undergoing chemotherapy and symptom management.
• Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety standards.

James Med Surg Oncology- 12HR D/NONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!

If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.The majority of patients served on 19 James are admitted with the following patient care needs:

• Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration
• Soft tissue malignancy receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy and symptom management.
• Symptom management secondary to disease related treatment or progression.
• Management of comorbidities.
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 Years RN experience required

Agency staff have the following parking permit options (purchased through CampusParc at osu.campusparc.com):

• The WB and CXS permits require annual payment upfront and are not available as monthly permits. The WMC permit is available monthly.
• WMC Monthly Permit: 24/7 access to the Wexner Medical Center Garage - $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days.
• WB Annual Permit: 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays; West Campus WB/WC lots 24/7 with shuttle service - $196.20/year.
• CXS Annual Permit: 9th Avenue East and West Garages on weekends and holidays; Buckeye CX and West Campus lots 24/7 - $393.96/year.
• WB Parking Details: Parking is available in West Campus Carmack Lots 2 and 3, approximately 1.7 miles from OSU Wexner Medical Center. The Pink Shuttle runs every 3-5 minutes during peak times and reaches the medical center in approximately 8-9 minutes. Weekend garage access is available from Friday at 2:00 p.m. through Monday at 8:00 a.m. Outside those hours, regular hourly garage rates apply.
• Refund Information: Prorated refunds may be available on unused future months on annual permits. Current and prior months are not refundable. Cancel by 6:30 p.m. on the last business day of the month to avoid the next charge. Refund checks may take 3-5 weeks.
