Job Description

Supplemental Health Care has partnered with a school district to hire a school 1:1 nurse to work in Lockport, New York. As a school professional with SHC, you’ll be supported by our Schools Center of Excellence, a dedicated team of recruiters and employment professionals who understand schools and your unique needs as a School-based LPN / LVN.

1:1 School Nurse Contract Details:

  • $29 – $31 per hour
  • 42-week contracts
  • Schedule follows the school district calendar
  • This is a one-to-one nurse position to provide medical care to a student throughout the school day based on the student’s medical diagnosis and care plan
  • The nurse will be expected to follow medical care plans and medical orders IEP/504 plans, and provide effective and pertinent information to the special education team and student caregivers
  • Nurse will be expected to complete daily documentation
  • Contract is for the current school year
  • LPN will be matched to student based on the nurse’s medical acuity experience

Requirements

  • New York LPN / LVN License
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior nursing experience in a school or pediatric setting
