Position - Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location - Bronx, NY (The position is available in Elmhurst, NY as well)

Contract Duration - 13 weeks (with possible extensions)

Shift: Day Shift

Expected Hours - 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating nuclear imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, and capable of ensuring patient safety, radiation compliance, and accurate image acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.
  • Explain procedures to patients, monitor them during studies, and provide appropriate care and support.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary exposure.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure timely documentation and reporting of test results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other physicians to ensure optimal diagnostic quality.
  • Monitor inventory of radioactive materials and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal in compliance with regulatory guidelines

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of NMT experience
  • BLS (AHA) -
  • A valid license as a nuclear medicine technologist issyed by NYSDOH
