Job summary

Trusted Resource Associates (TRA) is seeking a local contract Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) for a 13-week assignment in Detroit, Michigan. The role requires 40 hours per week with nights shift and local contract employment.

The CLS will analyze specimens, report results to physicians, and operate lab equipment, including microscopes and counters, with a focus on blood and transfusion-related testing. In addition, eligibility for ASCP/NCA/AMT certification is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Must be registered with ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent.
• CPR-Basic Life Support - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Examine and analyze blood, body fluids, tissues and cells.
• Relay test results to physicians.
• Operate microscopes, cell counters and high-precision lab equipment.
• Cross-match blood for transfusion.

TRA Medical Lab Technologist

TRA Clinical Lab Scientist or Medical Lab Technologist examines and analyzes blood, body fluids, tissues, and cells. Relays test results to physicians. Utilizes microscopes, cell counters, and other high-precision lab equipment. Cross matches blood for transfusion.

Minimum Experience

• Must have 2 years of Clinical Laboratory Experience.

Required Certification/Licensure

• Registered with a certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT or equivalent)
• CPR-Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
• Other credentialing items, such as a skills Checklist and health related documents, which will be specified by your Recruiter.
