Job summary

Clean Harbors’ Safety-Kleen division in Knoxville, TN seeks a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver to manage a route, operate a Vacuum Truck, and collect industrial waste from customers such as repair shops. You will complete daily services, maintain safety, and document activities on schedule.

Ideal candidates hold a valid Class B CDL and are willing to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days; prior route driving or commercial driver experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL is required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Use of various mobile devices on the job.
• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Background check, drug test, and physical per position.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a Vacuum Truck to service 10–12 sites per day.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed at all times.
• Document and label all work performed and maintain records.
• Generate and qualify leads for additional products/services.
• Prospect for new accounts within the assigned route.

Safety-Kleen in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver (Vacuum Sales and Service Representative) to manage a route and operate a Vacuum Truck to pick up industrial waste from customers such as automotive repair shops and quick oil change businesses and transport to disposal sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner


• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day


• Manual labor on sites to completely fulfill customer needs


• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner


• Complete all required documentation and labeling


• Generate / collect leads from customers for new products and services


• Sell additional products and services into existing accounts


• Actively prospect for new accounts in assigned route


• Primary account ownership in assigned route


• Ensure customer satisfaction at time of service


• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules


• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements


• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures


• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines


• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL


• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment


• Use of various mobile devices


• Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions


• Perform physical functions per job requirements


• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position


• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

• Commercial driver experience


• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement
