Job summary

XPO is seeking a Class B Local Truck Driver in Bay Shore, NY to safely operate straight trucks (GVWR 26,001 lb+), load/unload freight, and provide exceptional customer service across day, night and weekend shifts.

Pay ranges from $30.91 to $34.40 per hour with comprehensive benefits starting day one, including health and life insurance, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match. This Motor Carrier Act Exempt role requires CDL B without air brake restriction.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Class B CDL without air brake restriction.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass a DOT drug test and a company-paid DOT physical.
• Availability for up to 12–14 hour days including day, night and weekend shifts.
• Must obtain Federal Medical Certificate and self-certify Non-Exempt Interstate within 90 days.
• Hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck (GVWR 26,001 lb+).
• Provide excellent customer service including generating sales leads.
• Load and unload freight.
• Operate a straight truck per state regulations for intrastate operations.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload freight.
