Job summary

Safety-Kleen in New Haven, CT seeks a Local Class B Route Driver to haul waste oil and antifreeze from customer sites. The role involves safe operation of a Class B Tanker and approximately 10-15 stops daily, with handling of tanks, drums, and sample collection.

You will also generate leads during field visits and service a diverse client base. The ideal candidate holds a minimum Class B CDL with tank endorsement, can obtain Hazmat, and brings experience with manual 10-speed trucks.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class B CDL required.
• Tank endorsement and experience required.
• Ability to obtain Hazmat.
• Experience operating manual 10-speed vehicles.
• Previous route experience preferred.
• Ability to use a handheld device (ELD).
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Will operate a Class B Tanker, making 10-15 stops per day
• Pump out tanks and drums using hoses; Sample collection.
• Generate new leads in the field at customer locations
