Job summary

XPO is hiring a Class B Local Truck Driver for Tampa, FL. You will operate a straight truck, load and unload freight, and provide excellent customer service while meeting safety and regulatory requirements.

The role offers full health insurance on day one, life and disability coverages, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) match, and education assistance. CDL endorsements and a DOT-compliant process are required.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• Class B CDL without air brake restriction.
• Clean driving record and safe driving history.
• Pass DOT drug test (no prior positives or refusals).
• Pass company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test.
• Flexible schedule up to 12–14 hours, including day/night/weekend shifts.
• Ability to obtain Federal Medical Certificate and Non-Exempt Interstate self-certification.
• Possess or obtain hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck (26,001 lb. GVW or more).
• Provide excellent service to customers and generate sales leads.
• Load and unload freight.
• Comply with state regulations for intrastate straight trucks.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load/unload freight.
