Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver to operate a Class B box truck, service parts washers, pick up hazardous waste, and sell products within a defined route. This role requires a Class B CDL, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days.
• Basic computer and math skills.

• Able to perform physical duties and pass background, drug test, and medical requirements.
• OSHA respirator standards compliance (facial hair) per 29 CFR 1910.134.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority and follow all safety policies.
• Visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing customers.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups on time.
• Follow local, state (provincial) and federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles per DOT and local requirements.
• Adhere to environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Class B CDL.
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Perform physical functions per job requirements.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills.
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL).
