Safety-Kleen in Fairfield, OH is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver. This role will drive a Class B box truck to service parts washers, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and upsell products and services along a defined route.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to perform physical duties per job requirements.
• Background check, drug test and medical exam required.
• Facial hair must comply with OSHA respirator standards (29 CFR 1910.134).

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service.
• Visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing accounts.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups.
• Follow local, state, and federal regulations.
• Operate vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Follow EH&S guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks
• Up-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Class B CDL
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
