Dayton Freight Lines is hiring Class B CDL drivers for local daytime routes. Starting pay is $28.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours. The position emphasizes a stable, growing organization and a professional, people-centered environment.

Responsibilities include transporting, loading/unloading, inspections, paperwork, and customer interaction. A valid Class B CDL with HazMat/Tank endorsements and a current DOT medical card are required.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 22 years old.
• At least 18 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid Class B CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement.
• Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card.
• No DUI or reckless convictions in past 3 years.
• Less than 2 moving violations in past 3 years.
• Basic math skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Able to pass a drug screen.

Aufgaben

• Transport, load and unload freight between service centers and customers.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the tractor and trailer.
• Document freight control processes accurately.
• Read maps, road signs, shipping papers, hazmat markings and identifications.
• Affix placards to tractor/trailer when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and surroundings.
• Assist customers with shipping papers preparation.
• Interact professionally with customers.
• Operate forklift to unload/load when needed.
• Participate in Dayton Freight training and improvement programs.
• Be available for irregular schedules and shifts.
