Job summary

XPO is hiring a Class B Driver in Columbus, OH. The role requires operating a straight truck and delivering dependable service to customers, with the possibility of sales-related lead generation.

You’ll handle loading/unloading freight and work within state regulations for intrastate routes. The position offers full health insurance from day one, life and disability coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package including PTO, holidays, 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Must have Class B CDL without air brake restriction.
• Safe driving record and history.
• Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals.
• Pass a company-paid DOT physical and pre-hire test (essential functions).
• Availability for a flexible schedule up to 12–14 hours per day, including day, night and weekend shifts.
• Have or obtain a Federal Medical Certificate and self-certify as Non-Exempt Interstate.
• Possess or obtain hazardous materials and tank endorsements within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a straight truck (GVWR 26,001 lb. or more).
• Provide excellent customer service, including generating sales leads.
• Load and unload freight.
• Operate a straight truck according to state regulations for intrastate transport.
• Operate a forklift and pallet jack to load and unload freight.
