Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Class A Local Flatbed Driver in Eldridge, IA, with home daily routes and a starting pay rate of $35.00 per hour. The role emphasizes safe, on-time local deliveries of steel and related materials, load securing with chains and straps, and strict adherence to DOT regulations.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain delivery documentation, and provide excellent customer service at each location.

Qualifications

• CDL driving experience required (1+ year in last 3 years).
• 9+ months of recent tractor-trailer flatbed experience in last 3 years.
• Experience securing loads with chains and straps.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain a clean MVR and meet all DOT compliance requirements.
• No DUI or serious driving violations in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A flatbed truck to deliver steel, plate, structural steel, and related materials.
• Perform local deliveries with on-time service and professionalism.
• Secure freight using chains and straps per DOT regulations.
• Tarps loads during specified months and weather conditions.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Follow company safety policies and DOT regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
