Job summary

SA Recycling invites applications for dedicated Class A Drivers to transport metals for recycling, delivering and picking up roll-off containers to and from supplier locations and processing facilities. Local routes mean drivers are home each night, with opportunities to operate various truck types depending on business needs.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Class A CDL, 3+ years of commercial driving, and FMCSA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class A CDL; heavy haul, roll-off and end-dump trailer experience a plus.
• DOT physical and FMCSA FMCSR compliance required; willing to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Pre and post trip inspections of trucks per DOT regulations.
• Pickup material from suppliers and deliver to SA Recycling and customer locations.
• Secure cargo using appropriate methods.
• Communicate safety or equipment issues with management.
• Operate safely on staging areas, parking surfaces, and roads.
• Maintain logs of driving hours and vehicle status.
• Use PPE as required by SA Recycling and type of material transported.
