Job summary

Graham Packaging is seeking a Local Driver to keep products moving between our sites and customer locations. You will operate Class A commercial vehicles, deliver materials safely and on time, and communicate with dispatch to ensure accuracy and service quality.

Regular home time and daytime hours are noted, with a 3rd shift (11pm–7am) schedule option. Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, knowledge of DOT regulations, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Clean driving record per DOT standards.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and local traffic laws.
• Ability to operate various commercial vehicles including straight trucks and box trucks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Drive and deliver materials safely across local routes between company facilities, warehouses, and customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and cargo to ensure roadworthiness and compliance.
• Secure loads and protect cargo during transport.
• Maintain accurate driver logs and delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure delivery accuracy and resolve issues.
• Follow safety protocols for loading docks and packaging environments.
• Provide routine vehicle maintenance checks and notify issues.
• Support warehouse operations and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
