Local Class A Dedicated Truck Driver

NO-TOUCH Freight - Home Daily - No Weekends

Position Type: Full Time

Location: Sylva, NC

Salary Range: $55,000.00 annually

TranSouth Logistics specializes in trucking, deliveries, and warehousing across South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.

We are seeking a dependable, organized Class A truck driver in Sylva, NC, who can ensure safe and accurate deliveries. Must be detail-oriented, efficient, have a clean driving record, and at least 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience.

Truck Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and drive a tractor trailer safely
• Transport goods from origin to destination
• Secure contents properly to prevent damage
• Obtain signatures to confirm deliveries
• Follow predetermined routes and ensure timely deliveries
• Communicate with dispatch as needed
• Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips
• Keep vehicle clean
• Report maintenance or delivery issues
• Follow company rules and regulations
• Obey traffic laws and adjust driving to weather/road conditions
• Comply with DOT regulations and prioritize safety

Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications:

• Valid Class A driver’s license
• At least 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred
• Clean driving record (no more than 1 violation)
• Pass background check and DOT drug/alcohol test
• Skilled in driving large vehicles
• Comfortable maneuvering, parking, and backing
• Alert, focused, detail-oriented
• Proficient with GPS and E-log systems
• Dependable, disciplined, resourceful
