Job summary

BlueLinx Corporation is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to support our national distribution network. You will securely strap loads, deliver freight on time, and handle customer returns with professionalism. You’ll maintain DOT-compliant logs and complete POD paperwork while communicating any issues to customers.

The position emphasizes safety, weather-resilient operation, and timely, accurate records. Excellent benefits, consistent routes, and daily guaranteed pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
• Safe Driving Record
• Ability to secure loads
• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping - ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required
