Staffmark is actively seeking a Local Class A Driver in Dayton, OH to operate local routes and bring freight to customers while keeping you close to home. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and delivering exceptional service every day.

You will haul automotive parts, primarily perform drop-and-hook deliveries with no-touch freight, and stay compliant with DOT regulations.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous local Class A CDL driving experience is preferred.
• Experience with dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, or dedicated route operations is beneficial.
• Knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELDs), transportation documentation, and freight securement is considered an asset.
• Drivers who demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and a strong safety mindset are well positioned for success as a Local Class A Driver.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to enter and exit the tractor and trailer multiple times throughout the workday.
• Ability to secure freight and handle cargo when required by the assignment.
• Ability to perform DOT-required vehicle inspections and work safely in changing weather conditions.
