Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Class A CDL Driver in Florence, Kentucky offering $26.00 per hour. The role is local with a 7:00 AM start, Monday through Friday, designed to keep you close to home.

You will operate tractor-trailer or yard truck on local runs within Kentucky, perform inspections, and maintain accurate logs while following DOT procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Current DOT medical card.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.
• Clear motor vehicle record.
• At least one year of CDL experience in the past three years.
• No more than three moving violations or at-fault accidents in the past three years.
• No DUI, reckless driving or other serious violations in the past five years.
• Ability to work up to 10-hour shifts.
• Weekend overtime availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer or yard truck.
• Move trailers throughout the yard.
• Complete local runs within Kentucky.
• Transport general freight to the Walton distribution center.
• Complete drop-and-hook assignments.
• Perform required vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driving and delivery records.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures.

What You Will Do

As a Class A CDL Driver you will safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight on local routes while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. You will inspect equipment before and after each trip, complete transportation documentation, communicate with dispatch and customers, secure freight when required, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to safe driving practices.
