Job summary

Optimum Staffing, Inc in Montgomery, AL seeks a professional CDL driver to operate a Manual Transmission Day Cab with Dry Van and Reefer Trailers. This full-time role requires 24 months of verifiable experience and a valid Class A CDL.

Work Monday–Friday, 10:00PM–6:30AM in a temp-to-perm arrangement with weekly pay and OT after 40 hours. DOT physical, drug screen, and background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with 24+ months verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Must operate a manual transmission truck without automatic-only restriction.
• Must handle a Day Cab with Dry Van and Reefer Trailers.
• Able to safely maneuver tractors in yard/warehouse environment.
• Available Monday–Friday with 8–10 hour shifts.
• Must pass DOT Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Checks.
• No DUIs/DWIs in last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations in 36 months.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Earn $25.00/HR | $950–$1,200 Weekly Depending on OT
• Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm | Paid Weekly | OT After 40 Hours
• Work Monday–Friday, 10:00PM- 6:30AM
• Operate a Manual Transmission Day Cab with Dry Van and Reefer Trailers
• Perform No Touch Freight movements transporting finished goods between an alcohol bottling plant and the warehouse facility next door
• Safely move and position trailers between the production facility and neighboring warehouse
• Complete trailer movements efficiently while following all yard safety procedures and DOT regulations
• Maintain communication with facility personnel to ensure smooth and timely trailer movements throughout each shift

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with at least 24 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• MUST be able to operate a MANUAL TRANSMISSION truck — no automatic-only restrictions
• Must be comfortable operating a Day Cab with Dry Van and Reefer Trailers
• Must have the ability to safely maneuver, back, and position tractor-trailers in a yard or warehouse environment
• Must be available Monday–Friday with flexibility to work 8–10 hours per shift
• Must be comfortable working in a yard jockey position moving trailers between neighboring facilities
• Must be able to pass a DOT Physical, Drug Screen, and Background Checks
• No DUIs/DWIs within the last 5 years and no more than 3 moving violations within the last 36 months
