Job summary

J Rose Enterprises in Indiana is seeking a CDL-A truck driver for local runs within a 250-mile radius of Shelbyville, with home daily time. Shift is 8–9 hours; schedule includes one set weekend day off and one floating weekday off during non-peak season. Flexible start windows are available.

Pay is $0.90/mile + $20/stop + $35/load, plus $0.15/mile bonus. A $7,500 sign-on bonus and $500 orientation pay are offered.

Pay & Compensation

• Average Annual Pay: $90,000 / year
• Pay Structure: $0.90/mile + $20/stop + $35/load
• Includes $0.15/mile performance bonus
• • $0.05/mile pay increase available after 1 year of service
• Sign-On Bonus: $7,500
• Orientation Completion Pay: $500

Job Details & Schedule

Home Time: Home Daily

• Shift Duration: Average 8–9 hour shifts
• Schedule: 1 set weekend day off per week + 1 floating weekday off per week during non-peak season
• Available Start Time Windows: Flexible start times available (4 PM – 8 PM, 6 PM – 10 PM, 8 PM – 12 AM, 10 PM – 2 AM). (Note: 11 AM – 1 PM shift is currently full).
• Operating Area: Local runs within a 250-mile radius of Shelbyville, IN (occasional runs into IL and OH).
• Freight: Refrigerated groceries (meats, pork, beef, produce, frozen goods) in dual and tri-temp reefers.
• Unloading: Touch freight involving pallet jacks and some hand unloads; must be able to move bulkheads.
• Stops: Average 2 stops per day (some loads up to 5 stops).

Requirements

• License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months of verified Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
• Residence: Must live within 60 miles of Shelbyville, IN
• Physical Ability: Comfortable handling touch freight using pallet jacks and moving bulkheads
