Job summary

MCG Tran in Washington state is seeking a professional truck driver to deliver concrete, fiber, and siding to customer sites across WA and OR. You will pick up raw material loads in Halsey, OR, a few times per week, and support local lumber yards the rest of the time.

Flatbed experience preferred; section on PPE and safety protocols applies. Responsibilities include securing loads, tarping, and load straps; live unloading at customer sites; and occasional coverage for other accounts.

Qualifications

• Willing to chain loads when weather dictates.
• Able to tarp and strap loads as required.
• Wear PPE and uniforms as per policy.
• Flatbed experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver concrete, fiber, and siding to customer sites in WA and OR.
• Pick up raw material loads in Halsey, OR 2–3 times per week and deliver to local lumber yards on other days.
• Secure loads with straps and tarps; ensure loads are compliant before transport.
• Live unload freight at customer sites.
• Assist other DCS/JBI accounts as needed.

Position Details:

• Driver will be delivering concrete, fiber, and siding on curtain side trailers to customer sites in WA and OR
  • Driver will pick up raw material loads in Halsey, OR 2-3 times per week and deliver to local lumber yards the remaining days per week
    • Driver has the option to run up to 5 per week
  • Driver is required to strap all loads and tarp as needed
  • Freight will be live unloaded at customer sites

Special Requirements:

• Driver must be wiling and able to chain as weather dictates
• Drivers are required to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) and uniforms
  • Includes: hard hats, safety glasses reflective vests, and steel toe boots
    • Driver receives $75 a year allowance for the boots. Account will provide all other PPE
  • Uniforms are provided by the account
• Driver will be trained on both curtain side and flat bed trailers
• Flatbed experience is preferred
• Driver is required to assist other DCS/JBI accounts as needed
