Small Potato Trucking in Tacoma, WA is seeking a CDL-A Local Building Materials Driver for a dedicated local route. You will deliver concrete, fiber, and siding using curtain-side trailers across Washington and Oregon, with loads picked up in Halsey, OR several times a week.

Qualifications

CDL-A Local Building Materials Driver – Tacoma, WA

Earn an average of $77,740–$86,941 per year on a dedicated local building materials account starting in Tacoma, WA. Enjoy daily home time, a Monday–Friday schedule, annual CPM increases, and a $10,000 bonus. Online orientation is available.

Pay Details

• Average Annual Pay: $77,740–$86,941
• Average Weekly Pay: Approximately $1,500–$1,700
• Mileage Rate: $0.49–$0.53 CPM
• Annual Raises: $0.01 CPM increases until reaching $0.53 CPM
• Outsource Work: $300–$350 per day
• Steel-Toe Boot Allowance: $75 per year
• Optional sixth day available for additional income

Job Details

• Dedicated local building materials account
• Deliver concrete, fiber, and siding using curtain-side trailers throughout Washington and Oregon
• Pick up raw materials in Halsey, OR, approximately 2–3 times per week, with the option to run up to 5 pickups weekly
• Deliver to local lumber yards on remaining workdays
• Secure loads with straps and tarp as needed
• Freight is live-unloaded at customer locations
• Training provided on curtain-side and flatbed trailers
• Assigned automatic day cabs; trucks must remain at the account during time off
• Assist other accounts as needed

Shift Details

• Home daily
• Monday–Friday
• Start times between 3:00 AM and 5:00 AM
• Approximately 12–14 hours per day
• Occasional Saturday work based on customer demand
• Optional sixth workday for extra income
• All six major holidays off, with the option to work if desired
• Online orientation available

Job Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable truck-driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Valid DOT Medical Card
• No SAP drivers
• Ability and willingness to chain when weather conditions require it
• Comfortable strapping and tarping loads
• Must wear required PPE and account-provided uniforms
• Flatbed experience preferred
