Job summary

American Stone is seeking an experienced Local Class A CDL Driver to support quarry, yard, and delivery operations in the Burley/Oakley area. Pay is $28–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

This role involves mountain, off-road, and remote-site driving with loads, load-securement, and customer service during deliveries. Responsibilities include delivering stone products, loading and unloading, inspections, and maintaining records in compliance with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• No automatic-transmission-only restriction.
• Professional experience driving on steep grades, mountain roads, and rugged off-road job sites.
• Ability to safely operate loaded commercial vehicles and secure loads using straps and chains.
• Comfortable chaining up and driving with chains when required.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements.
• Ability to perform hands-on physical work outdoors in changing weather.
• Dependable, safety-focused, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stone products to customers, contractors, job sites, store locations, yards, and quarries.
• Safely drive on steep grades, mountain roads, rugged unpaved quarry roads, and off-road job sites.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials using appropriate equipment.
• Operate flatbed and dump trucks in compliance with safety standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain delivery records, driver logs, and required documentation.
• Follow DOT regulations, company safety policies, and assigned routes.
• Assist with loading and yard operations when needed.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
• Properly secure loads using straps, chains, and other required equipment.
