Job summary

American Stone in the Burley/Oakley area is seeking a Local Class A CDL Driver to support our quarry, yard, and delivery operations. Pay: $30/hour. This role involves steep grades, rugged roads, and remote job sites, with safety-first expectations and DOT compliance.

You will inspect vehicles, secure loads, load and unload materials, and provide professional customer service during deliveries. Typical schedule is Mon–Fri, with possible Saturdays depending on operations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with current DOT Medical Card.
• Experience driving on steep grades and rugged off-road sites.
• Ability to load and secure loads with straps and chains.
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet FMCSA rules.
• Able to perform outdoor work in changing weather.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stone products to customers, contractors, job sites, yards and quarries.
• Drive on steep grades and rugged unpaved quarry roads and off-road sites.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials with appropriate equipment.
• Operate flatbed and dump trucks in safety-compliant ways.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain delivery records and driver logs; ensure required documentation.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety policies; manage assigned routes.
• Assist with loading and yard operations as needed.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries.
• Properly secure loads using straps, chains, and other equipment.
