Job summary

US3088 Sygma Detroit is seeking a driver to safely transport and deliver product from the warehouse to customer locations, ensuring accurate loading/unloading and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include navigating routes, maintaining equipment, logging paperwork, and upholding food safety standards. Requires a high school diploma or GED, CDL, and English proficiency; overnight work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree, plus 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred.
• Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate and complete records.

Responsibilities

• Safely transports product from the warehouse to the customer location and on-time delivery per route.
• Unloads product by hand or with a hand cart, following proper procedures and storing products per store guidelines.
• Picks up and returns damaged goods and customer returns to the SYGMA warehouse.
• Ensures paperwork (logs, inspections, invoices) is accurate and submitted timely.
• Maintains food safety protocols and sanitary conditions in vehicle and loading areas.
• Maintains and operates equipment safely (hand cart, pallets, trailer components).
• Communicates route changes or issues to management and coordinates with customers.
