Job summary

National Tank & Equipment (NTE) is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to transport pumps, hoses, tanks, and rental equipment from Halethorpe, MD. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load securement, and route planning while adhering to DOT rules and safety standards.

Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible overtime and rotating on-call shifts. Local travel required, a valid CDL and clean driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating a commercial vehicle.
• Able to pass DOT physical and maintain medical certification.
• Possess or obtain a valid TWC card.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call schedule.
• Mechanical aptitude and safety-focused judgment.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned commercial vehicles to complete deliveries, pickups, and transfers.
• Review routes, instructions, equipment, and documents before departure.
• Communicate delays or equipment issues promptly.
• Ensure safe load placement with straps, chains, binders, and securement.
• Inspect cargo securement during transit and unloading.
• Assist with loading/unloading pumps, hoses, and forklifts when trained.
• Complete pre/post-trip vehicle records and report defects.
• Follow DOT and site safety requirements and represent the company professionally.
